Hayden was the destroyer after having scored 93 off just 43 balls

Delhi have reached 185/6 in their 20 overs after a blistering start. Sehwag played a crucial innings at the top, hammering 74 off just 38 balls which included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Delhi were marching along round the 12th over mark but Muralidaran (2/25) triggered a mini-collapse in the middle, picking up both Sehwag and Dilshan. Manhas (32*) batted well towards the end along with Bhatia (21) to help his side add a few quick runs. Balaji (2/21) was the pick of the bowlers for Chennai along with Muralidaran
Chennai win this much-awaited contest by holding their own when it counted the most. They chased down 186 with five balls to spare and losing only 5 wickets. Hayden was the destroyer after having scored 93 off just 43 balls. Raina chipped in with an unbeaten 49 to finish off the game along with Vijay (14*). The bowlers looked clueless as Hayden explored all parts of the ground with his mongoose bat. Nannes (1/18) was impressive but his efforts went in complete vain.
