Australia beat New Zealand by 6 wickets

Australia have completed a comprehensive and clinical win over New Zealand, beating them by 6 wickets in the third ODI.

The visitors now lead the series 2-1 with a couple of games to play.

Australia never seemed in trouble chasing that 246, the target was conquered in 47.2 overs for the loss of only 4 wickets.

They lost Watson (15) early but his opening partner Haddin (110) went on to smash his second ODI ton which sealed the victory for his side and also earned him the Man of the Match.

He shared a fine stand of 151 runs for the second wicket along with his skipper Ponting (69), who also looked in fine touch. Towards the end, White (25*) and Voges (13*) completed the formalities to help their side take a vital 2-1 lead in the series.

The Kiwi attack never looked threatening and only their skipper Vettori (1/36) was a bit impressive, though he was quite smartly negotiated by the Aussie batsmen. That's it then. Australia's fantastic season continues with these couple of wins back to back after that loss in the first match
